VRBO reservations can be canceled directly through Rentals United (RU), there’s no need to cancel them separately on the channel itself.
When you cancel a reservation in RU, it will automatically be updated as canceled in MAPRO.
This procedure only applies to reservations connected directly to VRBO via Rentals United.
Reservations made via iCal must be canceled directly on the channel.
1 - Log in to your Rentals United (RU) account
If you don’t yet have a username and password, please contact our support team to request them.

2 - Access the reservation
You can access the reservation either from MAPRO or directly in Rentals United.
If you choose to access it directly through Rentals United, open the side menu and click on Bookings, then Your Bookings. Use the top field to search for the reservation. You can search by the guest’s name, property, date, sales channel, status, price, or location. You can also use the Filters button to open additional search filter options.
Once you find the reservation, click on it to open the details.
3 - Check the reservation status and change it to “Cancelled”
Within Rentals United, at the top of the reservation screen, locate the Status field. Click on it to open the dropdown menu and select “Cancelled.”
4 - Specify who canceled the reservation
Select who performed the cancellation — Guest or Company — and click “OK.”
5 - Save the changes
Click “Save changes” to confirm the cancellation.
6 - Update in MAPRO
The reservation will be automatically updated as cancelled in MAPRO.
The cancellation status on VRBO may take up to 24 hours to update. The change will only appear on the channel after that time.
